In the context of the Bologna Process, the Faculty of Business at Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences is one of the first business faculties to convert its courses into a new structure of Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programmes. The introduction of this new structure will take place this semester.
The new courses are designed to promote student mobility and international competitiveness. The Bachelor’s degree is the first academic vocational qualification which can be completed within six semesters. Students who qualify can then build on this by undertaking a four semester Master’s degree programme. Amongst other things, this consecutive Master’s degree enables access to higher career pathways which was not possible with the hitherto diploma qualification.
The Master of Laws (LLM) and Master of Business Administration (MA) will be offered as from the winter semester 2009/2010. Through the new Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programmes, a more transparent system has been created, one which is internationally comparable.
