Learning objectives
This Master programme follows up the Bachelor programme in Practice Teaching and Mentoring in Nursing and Allied Health Professions or similar degrees. It has a comprehensive focus on educational, technical and organizational competencies. This Master's degree is an entry ticket to professional teaching and management responsibilities in Health Education.

Professional instruction in Nursing and Therapy
Our programme offers an intensive and comprehensive preparation for educational and organizational tasks in training and health institutions. You will acquire competence in the professional planning, delivery and evaluation of educational services. Upon completion of this Master programme you qualify for a career in teaching, organization or management in the training of nursing, ergo or physiotherapy staff.
Careers
Graduates are able to
- adequately design and manage teaching and learning processes according to target groups' needs. They make professional analyses of individual learning needs and are experts in planning, delivering and evaluating courses based on modern teaching approaches. Rating practical and theoretical learning outcomes is also part of their skills portfolio.
- perform organizational and management tasks at vocational and further education colleges (Berufsfachschulen). They implement quality management, school development and HR programmes with maximum efficiency.
- provide essential input, relying on their technical and educational knowledge, to research projects in vocational education, thus contributing to the further development of educational research in healthcare and nursing.

Course of studies
This 4-semester programme always starts in winter terms and provides a Master of Arts (MA) degree. It includes a 20-week internship with a vocational or further education college, focusing on planning, delivering and evaluating classes and on processes of school organization and development.
The programme follows a modular logic. Education Studies modules are cross-disciplinary. Depending on your professional profile you opt for specialization in Nursing or Healthcare. Entry-level qualifications
Grade 2.0 or better on a university degree at Bachelor's level in Nursing, Ergo / Physical Therapy or comparable programme.

Duration of studies
4 semesters (120 ECTS credit points).
The programme includes a 20-week internship tutored by the Faculty with an institution providing healthcare training.
