Bachelor programme in Practice Teaching and Mentoring in Nursing and Allied Health Professions (B.A.)
Learning objectives
This Bachelor programme is the first component in a scientific education syllabus for teachers in health occupations.
The focus is on competencies in performing training and mentoring tasks in Nursing, Ergo and Physical Therapy. Upon graduation you will be able to expand your educational skills on the follow-up Master programme in Health and Nursing Instruction at Fachhochschule Bielefeld.
Programme objectives
This programme provides you with the skill to professionally train individuals wishing to upgrade their vocational and personal skills in educational or health institutions. Upon graduation you will be able to determine individual learning and educational needs, to steer structurized learning and training processes and to evaluate outcomes.

Course of studies
This 6-semester full-time programme always starts in winter terms and provides a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree. It includes two internships: a four-week one for general orientation and a project designed and delivered in co-operation with an institution from the field.
The programme follows a modular logic. Education Studies and Health Studies modules are cross-disciplinary. Depending on your professional profile you opt for specialization in Nursing or Healthcare. German Secondary School Leaving Certificate levels 1 / 2 (Abitur/Fachhochschulreife) or validated equivalent.
