Bachelor programme in Business Law (LL.B.)

Learning objectives

With ever more aspects of our social life coming under legal constraints businesses are required to consider legal conditions and risks in their decision-making. This seven-semester programme aims to equip future staff with skills in both business and legal disciplines. Students receive a solidly grounded legal and business education focusing on corporate needs. Graduates will be able to apply appropriate scientific methodology and are employable on the interface of practical business and legal processes. The Bachelor degree also qualifies them for post-graduate education on Master’s programmes.

 

Careers

This programme caters for the business community’s need for graduates combining legal and business management skills. The profiles of those specializations offered  correspond to typical fields of employment that graduates will enter. There is a wide variety of career opportunities, namely in Personnel departments, in contract drafting and management in Purchasing or Distribution or in Tax Consulting or Auditing.

Course of studies

In semesters 1 to 3, syllabus focus is on fundamentals of legal and economic knowledge. 

Compulsory modules

From semester 4 students will be given reasonable room for specialization.

Specialization areas

In semester 6, students have the opportunity to apply their skills in an internship or to gain new experience by studying abroad. Semester 7 reviews all of the syllabus in a nutshell and closes by a scientifically researched Bachelor thesis.

 

Entry-level qualifications

German Secondary School Leaving Certificate levels 1 / 2 (Abitur/Fachhochschulreife) or validated equivalent.
