What is the ECS?

The ECS is a simple technical solution for international and collaborative teaching projects. Via the ECS interface, different Learning Management Systems (LMS) can be connected. Instead of enrolling students from abroad at our university, foreign students can easily access selected ILIAS courses at the university of applied sciences via their own LMS. Teachers can provide free teaching/learning materials for all students (copyrights have to be respected) and students are given the opportunity to collaborate within ILIAS.

How can I, as a teacher, get access to the ECS?

The exchange server is currently only available to teachers participating in international virtual teaching. If you are interested or have questions, please contact the IT service.

Where can I find more detailed information?

In the download box you will find the handout of the presentation “Linking Learning Management Systems - Interuniversity course sharing at the touch of a button”, which was presented at the DAAD Moving Target Conference 2020. In the presentation, you will also find links to demo videos that illustrate how the technical data exchange works.
