Psychosocial Counselling

As the International Office team would like you to have the best time you possibly can here in Bielefeld, we would like to point out the following services: Our university provides counselling and support for many different challenges in life: If you feel tired, overwhelmed, lonely or in need of advice, you can turn to Student Advising and Counselling!

Counselling is free, strictly anonymous and without any obligation.

This is a service for every small or big emotional struggle and all conversations will be handled in all confidentiality between you and the counsellors.

Your contact person is Dr. Marita Ripke. Her office is in Building A, third floor, of Bielefeld UAS: Room A 341.

Ms. Ripke’s office hours are:
Tuesday: 10–11.30 a.m.
Thursday: 3–4.30 p.m.

If you feel that counselling at Bielefeld UAS is not anonymous enough for you, please ask Ms. Ripke for free counselling addresses in the city of Bielefeld – there are points of contact offering services in English, too.

Please note: Of course, you are welcome to seek advice at the International Office anytime, but especially for emotional support, Student Advising and Counselling is the right address. You can go there directly without the International Office knowing about it, if you wish.
